FengShui and Us----Simplified

Fengshui or chinese geomancy been gaining its stand on internation grounds in the recent years. Even our own goverment is into fengshui,certain instances: The design of the one dollar coin,why is it in this shape ? It takes the shape of the ancient Chinese evil-warding mirror in octagon shape,also known as ba-kwa. As we need Singapore to prosper and ward all evil,everyone needs a tool for it,but not everyone will hang one at home...so the coins are designed in such a way,everyone will have it,regardless of race.

Then the planting of greenery all over Singapore.Singapore takes the shape that our whole island is shaped like a crab shell as we are surrounded by waters.So greenery is to mean that the 'crab' is very much alive and kicking,instead of being red,which oso meant 'cooked crab'.

And the mishap of Nicholl Highway and the collapse of a certain contruction at Alexandra.Singapore has a dragon beneath us,the reason why Singapore been prospering all these years.But the relentlessness of us digging further and further into the grounds have aroused the sleeping dragon.

Above-mentioned is supposed to be true and not myth.A very well-known monk in Singapore called Hong Chuan have given such advises to our people in white and with his advice,Singapore became prim and proper. He is the only monk that died in Singapore with more than 100 shariras or relics(舍利子) found in his body after he been cremenated.The relics are opened for display on certain occasions at Bright Hill Temple(光名山) off Sin Ming Road.

Apart of the importance of Fengshui in our life affecting us daily.Every arrangement in our house will affect the overall well being of all the people living in that house,whether they are related or not...The toilet is the most 'dangerous' room in any house.It contains all the bad things and aura that will cause stress,unhappiness and health problems with certain extent of slipping on the floor.That's the reason why in the past,all toilets are built far away from the house,but now due to being convinent,toilets are built within the same breathing space of our house. We should allow ample ventilation for our toilets and try to keep them away from within the same sleeping area perimeter.

Staircase.Houses with staircases actually have the better fengshui,cos the staircase is often refer to as a dragon because of its shape.In past designs,all staircases have a huge ball like design on both side at the start of the staircase.These are actually the eyes of the dragon.To perform any lion dance or dragon dance,the eyes of the dragon or lion must first be 'lighted'(点清),its to give life to the dragon or lion dance.To make the staircase pair well with the mentality of a dragon,it will be best to add two lights to the start of the staircase on both sides...This is to ward off evil and bring in good fortune.

Lighting.The most important assets of fengshui,you need to have a lighted house to create a more relaxed environment..Darken walkways or rooms will increase the dullness and bring life away from your life,making you more tired and more frustrated.

Furniture.I didnt know much about this,but I know you shouldnt have towering shelves or closets in your bedroom.They will create an intiminating effect and makes you develope a very wary kinda of attitude.

So in a way,fengshui affects us in many ways.Whether its a form of consoling ourselves for bad luck or an actual help,its all in your thinking.Till now,I can't say fengshui is the essence to life. But in certain times,why we escape near-death or dangerious situations are due to the good things and deeds our ancestors have done in their time,ensuring the good life of their future descendants. If you want good things in relationships or want relationships,then Mandarian ducks in your room,just beside your bed would help,or just put more pictures of things or people in pairs..Will increase your relationship greatly..

In the study of fengshui,the most feared outcome is death,secondly is the lose of blood(血光之灾). Everyone will will come to a point in life when they have to lose only blood and not death.You can view this in two ways,you can say you've been really unlucky to be injured or you can say your lucky,because you lose abit of blood instead of a bigger accident. You can actually consider giving blood or go for a blood test.This is considered giving blood and evades the possibility of other bigger risks or accidents..It makes you clear the 'bad blood' and recharges your body and raise your luck with new blood.

Fengshui is something which I personally liked it quite much,it makes you just stop to wonder about every little thing and the cause of it to be here in our world,doing its part.You learn to live simple and appreciates the things around you..
